      The marriage record comes from the Southampton Township Records which are at
      the Nova Scotia public archives in Halifax. There is also a copy of the
      microfilm at Mount Allison University and I suspect the LDS church has a
      micro film copy.
      John married Rhoda Porter on November 23, 1780 and began raising his
      > family. In 1785 he received a land grant on the Maccan River in
      > Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. John and Rhoda had eleven children and
      > I have a database of 4000 descendants.
